• painted a little an old cabinet for office room
• had date with my husbad ( food was amazing)
• voted
• bought some tupils to light up the room and bring some spring in the house
• had my mom for a visit

• äänestin

Flea Finds

I have been feeling great lately. Getting out of the house for couple hours does save the day. Yesterday I stayed at home for the whole day so today I had to get out. Even moving around slowly and driving is uncomfortable, it's still worth it. Today I stopped by at my favorite flea market. And finally I got lucky. Arabia's old coffee cup with dots was adorerable. I have been looking for daft books with romantic twist or something with a intresting plot. Today I found three for couple euros. I hope they are good ones.

I called my hubby today and asked about any plans for this weekend and we decided to go on a date. Nice dinner with desserts and all. Never know if our life will change already next week. Then dinners will have to wait for a while.

Olen voinut tosi hyvin viime päivinä. Tuntuu mukavalta päästä pariksi tunniksi huinimaan pois kotoota. Eilen olin koko päivän kotosalla, joten tänään oli pakko päästä happihypylle. Vaikka liikun hitaasti ja autollakin ajaminen on hieman epämukavaa, se on sen arvoista. Tänään käväisin lemppari kirpulla ja nyt onnisti. Löysin pitkästä aikaa Arabian vanhan kupin. Kivoilla sinisillä palloilla. Olen myös etsinyt hömppäkirjoja luettavaksi tai sitten jotain jossa on hyvä juoni. Kevyttä luettavaa kuitenkin. Tänään löytyi kolme muutamalla eurolla. Toivottavasti ovat hyviä. 


Soitin miehelleni tänään töihin ja juteltiin viikonlopun suunnitelmista. Päätettiin menä treffeille. Syömään johonkin kera jälkiruokien. Ei tiedä vaikka elämämme muuttuisi jo heti ensi viikolla. Sen jälkeen saa treffejä odotella.

Just Something

I started my morning with a bowl of porridge and DEKO magazine. Yesterdays catch from the flea market was zero, so I drove myself to the mall and visited Benetton's sales. Today I decided to make some sausage soup. Weekend is almost here and I will have my final meds for keeping my contructions away. After Saturday baby can come when it comes.

Aloitin aamuni puurolautasella ja DEKOlla. Eilen kirpuilta ei löytynyt mitään, joten ostarin Benettonilta sain mukavan ale saaliin. Tänään tein nakkisoppaa. Viikonloppu on kohta täällä ja syön viimeiset supistusten estolääkeet. Lauantain jälkeen vauva saa tulla kun on tullakseen.

I Got Mail

It was so nice to get some mail from Canada. It was a total surprise. Our friends sent cute duck things for the baby. I was so happy. So big thanks to our dear friends. Now our baby has it's first children's book in english. It's better start early. =)

Oli aivan mahtavaa saada postia Kanadasta. Tuli ihan yllätyksenä. Ystävämme lähettivät ihania ankkajuttuja vauvalle. Kylläpä se piristi päivää, joten iso kiitos heille. Nyt on sitten ensimmäinen lastenkirja englanniksi odottamassa. Ajoissa on hyvä aloittaa. =)

Sunday Morning

Morning sunlight sneaks in to the house so beautifully. Had to snap a pic. This weekend has been really quiet. Nothing has happened. This morning I woke up really early. I made some porridge and I actually made a bit too much so I was going to bake some rolls from the leftover porridge. We might go some flea market hopping, but we will see. Both my husband and I just want to take it easy this morning.

Aamuaurinko hiipii taloon luoden kauniita varjoja. Oli pakko napata muutama kuva. Viikonloppu on ollut tosi hiljainen. Mitään ei ole tehty tai tapahtunut. Heräsin tänä aamuna aikaisin ja keitin puuro ja sitä tulikin tehtyä pikkuisen liian reilusti, joten ajattelin leipoa puuronlopusta sämpylöitä. Ehkä matkaamme kirppareille, muta katsotaan. Haluamme molemmat ottaa tosi rennosti tänä aamuna.

A Hint of Green

Our yard is full of snow. What happened to that early spring? I guess it's good to enjoy some snow so when the spring really comes, we will appreciate it even more. But spring will sneak into our house slowly. Little hint of green suggests about it. Today I went to my work and ensured that everything is ready for my maternity leave is ready. It was nice to see my work mates and some kids still remembered me. I have no plans for this weekend, so who know what will I end up doing.

Pihamme on lumen peittoama. Mitä tapahtui aikaiselle keväälle? Ehkä on hyvä nauttia ensin lumesta ja sen jälkeen kevättä arvostaa ihan kympillä kun lopulta saapuu. Mutta kevät hiipii kuitenkin pikkuhiljaa kotiimme. Pieni pala vihreää vihjailee kevään tulosta. Kävin tänään työpaikalla hoitamassa äitiyslomapaperit kuntoon. Oli mukava nähdä työkavereita ja osa lapsistakin vielä muisti minut. Tälle viikonlopulle ei olekkaan mitään suunnitelma, joten saas nähdä mitäs tulee tehtyä.

Today I got my Färg & Form order and here are some inspirational pics that has our baby's new sheets and crib protections. We also bought a new crib for the baby. We ended up with Brio Two with white color. I think it will suite well with grey walls. It will pop out nicely.

Tänään hain Färg & Form tilauksen postista ja tässä onkin muutama fiilistely kuva uusista lakanoista pinnasängynsuojista. Omat odottaa vielä pesua. Kävimme hakemassa myös vauvalle pinnasängyn. Päädyimme Brio Two valkoiseen sänkyyn. Sopii hyvin harmaata seinää vasten ja pompahtaa raikkaasti esille.

Today my husband wanted to have pancakes so he made them. Nice and easy for me to just enjoy.

Fresh Winter Air

This weekend I have

• smelled the fresh winter air wtih taking couple pictures
• enjoyed the sunlight
• realized that my new winter boots aren't warm enough
• trouble fitting in any of my winter jackets
• had a small food poisoning from a restaurant pizza

But overall it's been great to be home!

Tänä viikonloppuna olen

• haistellut raikasta talvi-ilmaa ottamalla muutamia kuvia pihalta
• nauttinut auringonpaisteesta
• todennut, että uudet talvisaappaani eivät ole riittävän lämpimät
• ollut vaikeuksissa mahtua yhteenkään talvitakeistani
• kokenut pienoisen ruokamyrkyryksen ravintolan pizzasta

Mutta yleisestiottaen on ollut mukavaa olla kotona!

I Love Laundry!

Sometimes just doing the laudry at home can be the highlight of your week. Yes, I got home yesterday. It feels good to be home again. Even if it's going to last couple nights, I'm happy to be home. I have washed baby clothes, cleaned (just a little) and had a relaxing sauna (not too hot) and the best thing is to sleep in our own bed and have my husband beside me and the kitty. Very nice indeed.

Joskus kotona pyykkääminen voi olla viikon kohokohta. Kyllä, pääsin kotiin eilen. Tuntuu niin hyvältä. Vaikka olisi kyse vain muutamasta yöstä, on ihana olla kotona. Olen pessyt vauvanvaatteita, vähän järjestellyt paikkoja ja käynyt lempeässä saunan lämmössä ja mikä parasta olen saanut nukahtaa omaan sänkyyn ukkokullan ja kissan viereen. Niin mukavaa.

Poor Man's Marimekko

Black and white is still the thing. I still love the stripes. These ones I picked out from Ellos. Suites better for my wallet than Marimekko ones. I can get these now and maybe some day Marimekko ones.

Musta ja valkoinen on edelleen se juttu. Raidat on vielä in. Nämä löysin Elloksen sivuilta. Sopii paremmin omaan kukkaroon kuin Marimekon raidat. Ehkä sitten joskus tulevaisuudessa on niiden aika.
