Master's Mess

It's been too long. My pregnancy wasn't the easiest so last autumn I had to give up on my Master's Thesis and just concentrate on taking it easy. So it's still not done. Now J has a sort of rythm in her days so I have decided to get back on track. I need to finish it and soon. Hopefully this Christmas, but at least next spring so I will have my Master's degree done on Special Education. So my office is a mess and will be for next how many months...

Aikaa on kulunut jo aivan liian paljon. Raskauteni ei ollut niitä helpoimpia, joten Gradun suhteen oli luovutettava viime syksynä ja piti keskittyä vain masumatkustajaan. Joten iso G on edelleen vaiheessa. Nyt J:lle on tullut hiukan päivärytmiä ja olen päättänyt ruveta hommiin. Haluan sen valmiiksi ja pian. Toivottavasti jouluksi, mutta viimeistään ensi kevääksi ja saisin muutenkin maisterin paperit erkasta sitten kasaan. Nyt työhuoneessa vallitsee siis kaaos ja tulee olemaan, huh kuinkahan monta kuukautta...

My Chair

I'm a happy owner of a new chair. I picked it up from Espoo yesterday with my mom and J. We also visited some local flea markets. Found some clothes for the baby.

Olen onnellinen uuden tuolin omistaja. Kävin hakemassa sen eilen Espoosta äitini ja J:n kanssa. Käväisimme myös paikallisissa kirpuissa. Löytyi vauvalle ainakin vaatteita.

Must do's...DONE!!

Here is my versions of the Pinterest tips that I loved for the garden. I love them both. Gives a nice edge to the garden. What comes to making that porch, we have booked the shovel  after Midsummer. So there is time to get rid off all the old. And enjoy these weathers that we are having right now doing it. Have sunny Sunday!

Mitä tulee verannan tekoon, saamme kaivurin paikalle juhannuksen jälkeen, joten sitten alkaa tapahtua. Nyt meillä on hyvin aikaa päästä eroon vanhasta tuulikaapista. Samalla voi nauttia näistä ihanista keleistä pihalla touhutessa. Aurinkoista sunnuntaita!

Comedy

Yesterday I went out with my work mates to see a hilarious theater show Kalsarimiehet ( Men in underwear) in Linnateatteri. It was such a great show. Comedy at it's best. All you needed was three men and underwear. Weekend plans are mostly open. A good friend of mine will be introducing her new boyfriend at the first time this Saturday when they will be coming over for coffee. That will be fun. If the weather stays nice, I was thinking of having a coffee outside.

Eilen olin työkavereideni kanssa katsomassa ihan huippu hauskan teatteriesityksen Kalsarimiehet, joka pyöri Linnateatterissa. Hauska kuin mikä ja komediaa parhaimmillaan. Vain kolme miestä ja kalsarit. Viikonlopun suunnitelmat ovat vielä hiukkasen auki. Ystävä tuo lauantaina uuden miesystävänsä näytille, kun kahvetellaan. Jos sää pysyy näin hyvänä, taidan laittaa kahvit ulos terassille.

BuGs

Summer is here and so are the bugs. Bees, flies, mosquitos and gadflies. Not a huge fan any of these. Well good news is that the plan for building the porch proceeds. The old little vestibule will be broken and a bigger porch will be build in it's place. There was a big bee nest between the old walls. No residents at home. I have to start looking for an old wooden couch for the porch. I was thinking of having a grey wooden floor, but when I saw Sini's beautiful kitchen floor, I have to think again about the color.

Kesä on täällä ja samoin myös ötökät. Ampparit, kärpäset, hyttyset ja paarmat eivät ole suuren fanituksen kohteena. Hyvä uutinen on se, että uuden verannan rakentaminen edistyy. Vanha tuulikaappi sai romutustuomion ja uusi veranta rakennetaan sen tilalle. Seinien välistä löytyi kiva ampiaispesä. Onneksi asukas luku nolla. Nyt pitääkin alkaa metsästämään vanhaa puusohvaa verannalle. Olin ajatellut harmaata puulattiaa, mutta kun näin Sinin ihanan keittiön lattian, pitää miettiä asiaa vielä uudelleen.

Must Do Ideas

Today we had a break from gardening, but here's some cute ideas that I found from Pinterest. A suitecase for flower is a must do. I already have a suitecase for that. Old window is ready to go too. I need to find a milk jug or some type of jar to do something like that. I like the idea of spilled milk. Weather is perfect to be out side now. I haven't bought summer flower yet, but nights can be cold so I will wait just a little longer. So we hada break from gardeningm but not a break from cleaning. Today we cleaned our cellar. So much hazardous waste. My husband demolished an old sauna and we are making that cellar space for clean room for storage.

Tänään pidettiin taukoa puutarhahommista, mutta löysin Pinterestistä kivoja idoita puutarhaan. Matkalaukkukukat on ihan pakko tehdä. Matkalaukku minulla onkin jo valmiina. Vanhoja ikkunoita voisi kiikutella myöskin puutarhaan. Niitäkin löytyy. Maitokannu olisi kiva löytää tai jokin ruukku. Tykkään kyllä ajatuksesta kaatuneesta maidosta. Sää on mitä mahtavin tällä hetkellä. Kesäkukat ovat vielä ostamatta, mutta ajattelin vielä hetken odotella ettei halla vie niitä mukanaan. Tänään pidettiin siis taukoa puutarhasta, mutta siivousta on silti riittänyt. Kellarin siivous oli tänään edessä. Mieheni on hajottanut kellarissa olleen vanhan saunan ja sinne olisi tarkoitus tehdä siistit säilytys- ja varastotilat.

New Tools

Yesterday I started my day with berries and spent my whole day in the garden. It was fun with my new purple gardening tools. Makes a difference eh! Today we had J's godmother for a coffee. Tonight is all about hockey, at least for my hubby. Waiting for a weekend to come.

Eilen aloitettiin päivä marjoilla ja vietettiin koko päivä puutarhassa. Hommat sujuivat luonikkaasti uusilla liiloilla puutarhakaluilla. Tänään J:n kummitäti kävi kahveella ja ilta taitaa mennä lätkän parissa, ainakin miehellä. Viikonloppua odotellessa.

Vaasan & Polka Jam

Vaasan kotiuunin frozen buns and Danish pastries became a daily delicacy for us after our baby was born. So many people came over and it was so easy and tasty to bake finished products. We ate so many bags  that I participated their "collect 5 seals and get a beautiful Polka Jam kitchen towel. It finally came. Very cute indeed.

Vaasan kotiuunin herkulliset pakaste pullat ja viinerit olivat osana arkipäiväämme palatessamme kotiin synnytyksen jälkeen. Ihmisiä kävi vierailemassa useaan otteeseen ja oli helppoa ja hyvää ottaa pakasteesta pullat uuniin. Syötiin aika monta pussia, joten päätin osallistua heidän "kerää 5 sinettiä"-kampanjaan ja palkinnoksi oli ihana Polka Jamin keittiöpyyhe. Nyt se tuli lopultakin postista. Tykkään.

I'm a MOM & Recognition

Today was my first Mother's Day. I woke up so tired. Last night didn't go that well when it comes to sleeping. J was a bit restless. I got up way too early. No breakfast in bed. Just poop in a diper. But her smile melt my heart (again). I'm a MOM. It's amazing!

Tänään oli minun ensimmäinen Äitienpäivä. Heräsin rättiväsyneenä. Viime yönä ei nukuttu kovinkaan paljon. J:llä oli vähän levoton meininki. Nousin aivan liian aikaisin. Eipä tullut aamupaloja sänkyyn, mutta kakat odotti vaipassa. Mutta hänen hymynsä sulatti sydämeni (taas). Olen ÄITI. Mahtavuutta!

Hello!

It's been a busy week again. I went to my parent's house and cleaned and went through my old boxes and toys that I still have saved. Lot of things went to the trash, but lots of things were in great shape and I took them to our house and started to clean and wash them all. Lot of work, but J will have some fun with mommy's toys when she grows a little. How many Barbie cars I really had, three atleast. I have been planning of going to a flea market for ages, but I keep having new plans coming up non-stop. I'm also waiting on a reservation message. It's a long line up now. That cup is my newest Arabia cup, but I bought it some time ago. We also had little elephants marching into our house...

On ollut taas kiire viikko. Kävin siivoilemassa porukoilla omia vanhoja tavaroita ja leluja joita olikin kertynyt aikalailla. Paljon meni roskiin tavaraa, mutta paljon oli kotiinkin vietävää. Nyt alkaa peseminen ja puunaaminen ja tuunaaminenkin. J:llä tulee olemaan kivaa äidin vanhojen lelujen kanssa kunhan tuostaa vähän kasvaa. Kuinka monta Barbie autoa siellä olikaan, ainakin kolme. Kirpputorille olisi tarkoitus päästä menemään niin käymään kuin myymäänkin. Odottelen vain vastausta varaukseen. On aika pitkät jonot tällä hetkellä. Tuo pallokuppi on viimeisin löytö ja siitäkin on jo aikaa. Myös ne kuuluisat elefantit marssivat meillekin...

A busy week

• We have been outside almost every day cleaning the plot
• On the weekend we went to vanha vanto for interior flea market
• On Friday I went for a facial- loved it
• On Saturday we had a date. J was with her grandparent's and my hubby and I went to theater to see Kakola and after that we had a nice dinner
• Hmmm..what else....more cleaning outside...

Kiireinen viikko takana

• Ollaan siivottu pihaa niska limassa
• viime viikonloppuna kävimme Vanhassa Vantossa sisustuskirpparilla
• perjantaina olin kasvohoidossa- niin ihanaa
• lauantaina oltiin miehen kanssa treffeillä. J oli isovanhempien kanssa ja me kävimme katsomassa Kakola musikaalin ja ravintolaruuat päälle
• Hmmmm...mitäs muuta...niin siivottiin pihaa
