WeEkEnD

And another week has gone by so fast. Yesterday we went to my husband's sister's 30th birthday party. Rock and Roll feeling with a houseband was lot of fun. We came home with a stomachs full of cake and bbq. Today is another painting day. I haven't have much luck with my color choices and I need to paint my office again. Grrrr...Tomorrow I'm hosting my first Me&I party.

Ja taas on yksi viikkoa takana. Eilen vietettiin mieheni pikkusiskon kolmekymppisiä. RockenRollia bändin tahtiin. Oli mukava ilta. Tulimme kotiin vatsat täynnä kakkua ja grilliherkkuja. Tänään on taas maalauspäivä. Eipä ole ollut onni myötä värien suhteen, joten työhuone maalataa taas. Grrrr...Huomenna pidän ensimmäiset Me&I kutsut.

I made it!

Wow, sorry for being so busy and not being so active with my blog. Today I made my sweater a bit more cuter by putting some hearts on. I made it with needle felting. I think it's cute. Hope you are having a great start to your week.

Huh, kestää taas päivittää blogia, pahoittelen kiireitä. Tänään tuunasin villatakkini kivoilla sydämillä. Kokeilin ensimmäistä kertaa neulahuovutusta ja tässä tulos. Minusta ne on aikas söpöt. Toivottavasti viikkosi on alkanut mukavasti.

Hello Dryer!

Today it came, my new dryer! Life will be so much easier now, hah a girl can dream right? Only four weeks to our trip. Excitement is rising big time. My parents will loan us couple suitecases. I'm so ready to go get those soon and start packing. But I guess I should wait atleast couple weeks, heh. I haven't have a lottery for ages. I noticed that on the day we are leaving in September is the day when I started bloggin two years ago. I will have a lottery, but I'm hoping to find my lottery winnings from Canada so I will come back to that later then.

Tänään se tuli, uusi kuivausrumpuni! Elämästä tulee nyt niin paljon helpompaa, heh kai sitä saa unelmoida? Vain neljä viikkoa matkaan. Jännitys vain kasvaa. Saan porukoilta lainaan pari matkalaukkua. Olen jo ihan valmis hakemaan ne ja aloittamaan pakkaamisen. Mutta ehkä odottelen vielä parisenviikkoa kuitenkin, hih. En ole pitänyt arvontaa pitkään aikaan. Huomasin, että juuri sinä päivänä, kun meidän kone nousee Helsingistä, olen aloittanut blogini tasan kaksi vuotta sitten. Tämän vuoksi pidän arpajaiset, mutta toivon löytäväni arvottavani Kanadasta, joten palataan siihen sitten myöhemmin.

N for a Nap

Nothing major for today. Just J's maternity clinic's appointment. She is growing nice and well. We did have a little mix up with a post office. I went to get my mail and they even checked my ID and still gave me the wrong package. But they came to pick it up and brought my package with them which was nice. So no big harm done. I also had a nice nap by accident when I put J for her daily nap. I never nap because I get even more tires or I will be very cranky rest of the day. But feels like I will be just fine.

Eipä kummempia tälle päivälle. J:lla oli neuvola tänään. Hyvin kasvaa ja käyrät kohdallaan. Oli kyllä pieni sekaannus postin kanssa. Hain paketin, henkkaritkin katsottiin, mutta kotona kun aloin avaamaan pakettia huomasin paketin päällä aivan jonkun muun nimen. Tulivat sitten itse hakemaan paketin meiltä kotoota ja toivat samalla minun paketin mukanaa. Eipä tuo haittaa loppujenlopuksi. J:n mennessä päikkäreille sattui itsellekin pieni kömmähdys, nukahdin meinaan myös. Teki kyllä hyvää. En oikeastaan koskaa torkkuile, koska yleensä minusta tulee vielä väsyneempi tai tosi kärttynen. Ihme kyllä nyt tuntuu ihan hyvältä.

I did it twice

I finally made shelves ready for J's room. Again I don't have before and afer picture, but this shelf used to be black with orange doors. I left doors unused and just painted the whole thing white at first. After that I used a decoupage and Tilda's paper for the inside of the shelves. I did struggle with it quite some time ( I had to do it twice, I mean evertyhing twice). It was almost ready, but first time the result with the paper wasn't good enough. But now I'm happy with it. I think it's perfect for litte girl's room.

Lopultakin sain tämän hyllykön tehtyä J:n huoneeseen. Tälläkään kertaa minulla ei ole ennen ja jälkeen kuvaa, mutta tämä hyllykkö oli aiemmin musta ja siihen kuuluivat oranssit ovet. Jätin ovet kokonaan käyttämättä ja päätin maalata koko hyllykön ensin kokonaan valkoiseksi. Tämän jälkeen käytin decoupage lakkaa, jolla kiinnitin Tildan paperin sisäpuolelle. Sain kamppailla aikalailla koko hyllykön kanssa (tein sen kahdesti alusta alkaen) Se oli jo melkein valmis, mutta paperi ei kiinnittynyt haluamallani tavalla, joten koko homma alusta. Nyt olen tyytyväinen lopputulokseen ja minusta se on mainio pienen tytön huoneeseen.

Where did all the plants go?

I've noticed that all the plants are gone. Feels like nobody has any plants in their houses anymore. All the interior pictures in the magazines or pinterest doesn't have nay plants. We don't have many plants either in our house, but in the living room we have this huge Monstera. I've had it since I was a kid and I took it with me when I moved away from home. I think a little green in the room makes it more cozy. Do you have any plants in your house?

Olen huomannut, että viherkasvit ovat hävinneet. Tuntuu kuin kellään ei olisi enää kasveja kotosalla. Kaikki sisustuskuvat lehdissä ja pinterestissäkin ovat kasvittomia. Ei meilläkään montaa viherkasvia ole, mutta olohuoneessa on jättimäinen Peikonlehti, jonka olen kasvattanut jo lapsena ja otin sen mukaani kun muutin pois kotoa. Minusta pieni pala vihreää tekee huoneesta piirun verran kotoisamman. Onkos sinulla viherkasveja kotosalla?

Stripped Office

It sure is a mess. All the smaller things has been carried out from the office and bigger furniture is in the middle of the room so I can paint my walls. Today I painted that dark grey wall back to white so it will be easier to get a new color on. This time I will paint the whole room. I have also painted white some furnitures that will be in the office. I have to say, that this day has been really productive.

Ihan järkyttävä sekasotku valtasi yläkerran. Kaikki pienet jutut on kannettu yläkerran aulaan työhuoneesta ja isommat huonekalut on raijattu työhuoneen keskelle, jotta voin maalata huoneen seinät. Tänään maalasin tuon tumman harmaan seinän valkoiseksi, jotta uusi maali mukavampi maalata, kun pohjatyöt tehty. Tällä kertaa aion maalata koko huoneen. Olen myös maalannut valkoiseksi työhuoneeseen tulevia huonekaluja tänään. Ei voi muuta sanoa, kuin että tänään on ollut tuottoisa päivä.

My first Washi tape

Many of you bloggers already have used washi-tape. For me it's a new thing. I did make an order from  here and got couple tapes to try on. Still haven't used any, only admired them in a jar. Maybe I use them in the office then.

Moni teistä bloggaajista on jo kokeillut washi- teippejä. Minulle ne ovat vielä ihan uusi juttu. Tein kuitenkin tilauksen täältä ja sainkin ne jo kokeiluun. En ole vielä avannut rullaakaan, vain ihaillut niitö purkissa. Ehkä sitten työhuoneeseen tulee käytettyä.

When my office will be done?

Weekend was busy. We went to my brother's place in Hamina. Visited Hamina Tattoo with out a camera. Drove home late last night and did some cleaning today. I still need to paint walls from the office next week. I did it once already when we moved, but now I have a different idea for it. Luckily paint is not that expensive. Here is some office ideas that I think is great. They all got that something that I want. I hope next week I can get something done so I can put some pics from the office that shows more than small details. Hope you had a great weekend and thanks for reading!

Viikonloppu oli aika haipakkaa. Käytiin Haminassa veljen luona. Poikettiin Hamina Tattoossa, mutta ilman kameraa. Ajeltiin myöhään eilen kotio ja tänään siivottiin. Olen päättänyt maalata työhuoneen seinät uudelleen. Mieli muuttuu näköjään nopeast, mutta onneksi maali ei maksa ihan hirveän paljon . Tässä muutamia työhoneen inspiskuvia. Jokaisessa on sitä jotain, josta tykkään ja olisi kivaa omassakin työhuoneessa. Toivottavasti saan ensi viikolla jotain aikaiseksi, jotta voisin ottaa kuvia vähän laajemmasta kulmasta, eikä vain pieniä yksityiskohtia. Toivottavasti sinulla oli kiva viikonloppu ja kiva kun kävit lukemassa!

Yöt alkavat jo viilenemään. On jo elokuu. Kesä alkaa olla kohta lopuillaan ja saattaa tulla fiilis kaivaa sukat paljaiden varpaiden päälle. Marimekon syksy tuo tullessaan hauskat sukat. Löydät ehkä omat lempparisi täältä.

Why not little Chabby Chic?

Today I finished my small cabinet makeover. I tried to find a before picture of it, but no luck with that. All I can say that this cabinet is made by my husband. The door is an old window that didn't have any glass on it so I used some chicken network. This used to be a piggy pink color ( I wanted pale old pink), so the color not so great. Maybe that's why I don't have a before picture, hah hah. But now it's white and I used some Tilda paper on the back wall. I attached it with decoupage. It's a little romantic, but I guess sometimes it's just nice to be not so black and white or what do you think?

Tänään sain valmiiksi pikkukaapin muutoksen. Koitin etsiä ennen-kuvaa, mutta valitettavasti en löytänyt. Voin kuitenkin kertoa, että kaappi on mieheni tekemä vanhasta laudasta. Ovena toimii vanha ikkuna, jossa ei ollut lasia, joten siihen kiinnitettiin kananverkko. Kaappi oli väriltään possunpunainen (piti olla vanha rosa), joten väri ei ehkä ollut ihan onnistunut. Ehkä se onkin syy siihen, että ennen-kuvaa en löytänyt, heh heh. Mutta nyt se on maalattu valkoiseksi ja takaseinään kiinnitin decoupeella Tilda paperin. Tuli aika romanttinen, mutta ei kai sitä aina voi olla niin mustavalkoinen, vai mitä?
